PM: A counterpoint to the dark story of Zod was the escalating Lois and Clark romance and a tantalizing flash forward to the Metropolis and Lois Lane of 2013.

BP: What’s amazing to us is to watch each of the actors grow into their roles as much as their characters have their own arcs. And Erica—just episode by episode—became the Lois Lane we all know, and it was almost seamless. You don’t even feel like it’s happening. You just watch.
